Common-law spouse LTVP evidence pack for EP / S Pass

Companion to LTVP — MOM’s three acceptable proofs (certificate, home-country notarised affidavit, or embassy letter), translation packing, salary floors, and why sharing a flat is not enough.

Parent LTVP map: Long-Term Visit Pass. This companion is the common-law evidence layer Reddit collapses into “we share a lease.”

Who this path is for

MOM’s common-law spouse LTVP sits under EP / S Pass family categories (published fixed monthly salary floor commonly S$6,000 for that relationship row — verify live). It is not ICA’s SC/PR spouse LTVP / PMLA lane — spouse LTVP + PMLA. Legally married EP spouses usually belong on Dependant’s Pass, not this pack.

MOM’s three acceptable proofs (any one)

Per documents required:

ProofWhat to get right
Common-law marriage certificateIssued where that status is recognised — not a Singapore ROM substitute
Joint affidavitBoth partners declare a common-law relationship recognised under home-country/region law, notarised in that home country/region
Embassy letterHome mission acknowledges the relationship under that country’s law

Also upload passport biodata pages. Non-English docs: original + English translation as one file. Translation / notary pricing: apostille & notary.

What does not clear the bar alone

Shared flat, joint bank account, WhatsApp timelines, or a Singapore statutory declaration that ignores home-country recognition. Employer (or EA) still files; published fees/timelines live on MOM’s apply page.

After IPA — work and healthcare

LTVP alone is not work rights. Overseas-remote / local-client rules: side income. Unsubsidised healthcare shock: expat health insurance.

Decision rule

Pick one MOM-listed proof → notarised / embassy-correct → translate as one file → then file. Do not build the household on “lease + screenshots.”
