Two clocks, one body
IPA can require a Singapore medical before issuance. Labs and X-ray reports do not respect your visit-pass end date. Overstay fines are not cured by “HR said the clinic is slow.”

Extension bridge (orientation)
MOM’s apply guidance lets employers request an STVP extension about 7–14 days before expiry when candidates are waiting on medical results — typically with a doctor’s memo stating the collection date. Example shape: if STVP ends 17 Feb, the ask window is roughly 4–10 Feb (verify live). Late asks are how clean IPA files become ICA problems.

Decision rule
Diary the STVP end date the day you land. If labs can miss that date, HR files the extension inside the published window — not the morning after expiry.
